I have been engaged in research on evidence-based policy making in the fields of disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA), particularly investment in DRR and CCA as well as climate migration. In the previous studies so far, we have identified four challenges for bridging the funding gap in DRR and CCA: Data definition and accurate estimation, harmonization in the disaster management cycle, justification of investment in DRR and CCA, and innovative approaches.
